The 7th round of Persian Gulf Premier League of Iran’s Professional Soccer was concluded on Wednesday with four events remained for the second day and two of the fixtures ended with draws and two other were won by Persepolis and Naft of Tehran.
The red giants of Tehran defeated Sepahan of Isfahan in an away fixture of the week 7 on Wednesday. Persepolis earned the lead with the goal scored by Omid Alishah at the minute 14 but the hosts equalized 8 minutes later. The two teams could not net a goal out of their opportunities before the breath and left the pitch 1-1 at the end of the first half.
Mehdi Taromi scored two times in the second half for the visitors to let Persepolis win the event 3-2 and leave Isfahan with 3 points. Now the red giants of Tabriz are atop with 15 points and better goal difference and followed by the red giants of Tehran who are 3 goals short of the table toppers.
The other victory of the day was again for Tehranis as Naft of Tehran edge passed visiting Machinsazi of Tabriz 2-1.
Padideh and Naft of Abadan both scored three times in Mashhad to share the points after the 3-3 draw. Gostaresh Foulad of Tabriz and Foulad of Ahvaz left the pitch in Tabriz with a scoreless draw.
