Iran’s ‘Zemnako’ to attend Iraqi fest.

TEHRAN, Sep. 05 (MNA) – Iranian documentary film Zemnako directed by Mehdi Ghorbanpour, will be screened at Duhok International Film Festival.

The film narrates the story of a boy who was born on March 16, 1988, the same day the town of Halabcheh was attacked by chemical bombing and he was separated from his mother and spent the next 20 years of his life in Iran.

Zemnako has been very successful in numerous film festivals in Iran and now it has found way in Border Film section of the 4th edition of Duhok International Film Festival held in the Kurdistan Region on September 9-16.

The Duhok International Film Festival aims to showcase innovative films of high artistic value with a notable handwriting made throughout the world. It wishes to create an atmosphere of exchange between different cultures and human values. Unique film experiences can be made and people can share their thirst for new discoveries and a passion for cinema in all its diversity.
