Reactionary countries ‘source of terrorists coming to Iran’

TEHRAN, Jul. 11 (MNA) – Head of the Judiciary has told a meeting orchestrated efforts waged by ‘some reactionary countries and imperialism’ seek to tempest Iran with evil forces of terrorism.

Ayatollah Sadegh Amoli Larijani who was addressing a meeting of Judiciary high-ranking officials on Monday said that good offices of the Establishment’s police and armed forces and also those of intelligence in facing such threats had been commendable which had effectively forestalled any single terrorist incident to hit the security of country; “people and government are well-coordinated in terms of fostering a laudable level of preparedness to abort evil plots of the mercenaries who receive instructions from some reactionary countries in the Middle East,” added head of Judiciary. “Attempts by the US and MEK (Mojahedin-e-Khalq) which had had support of the same reactionary countries, had belied the former’s purported pose of fighting terrorism, and any claim of fighting terrorism may seem brazen at best.”

“The US has not and will not be a friend for us; in most recent conduct, which is trust-eroding, the US officials along with UN secretary-general, have criticized Iran’s missile test-firing as violating the spirit of the JCPOA; however, provisions relating to missile program only discourages making missiles capable of being armed with a nuclear warhead,” he told the meeting. “Iran will not spare any opportunity and means to bolster its defensive capabilities and the government officials should be alert to the claims and excessive expectation of the west and the US.”

Amoli Larijani quoted Leader’s famous line in many of his addresses that the US’ main concern had not been Iran’s nuclear program; “if Iran strikes a deal in nuclear program (which was the case), they will move to other pretexts, to interfere in country’s internal affairs including for example, composition of officials in the Establishment and the existence of Guardian Council, etc.,” he illustrated his case.
