Ali Larijani’s message addressed to Parliament speakers and legislative assemblies in wider world of Muslim countries emphasized that the month of Ramadan would provide a great opportunity for Muslims to rethink their solidarity in a more positive light and to contribute to greater world of Islam through addressing the pressing issue of the Ummah; “I strongly believe that facing the current maelstrom of problems and the unfortunate nature of events in Islamic world and bringing the Muslim world to terra firma of stability and peace would entail solidarity, sympathy, and coordination as well as cooperation of all Muslim countries based on mutual respect and understanding,” said the message.
“Strategic interests of all of us lie in fierce fight against extremism and Takfirist ideology through setting aside all tactical differences; Iran’s Parliament defines its strategy as cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy to bring closer all our counterparts in other countries for a convergence to meet the challenges, threats, and issues of the Islamic Ummah, especially challenges in the Occupied Palestinian territories created by the Zionist regime,” it said.
“We believe constructive dialogue and effective conversation will greatly improve situation which we highly recommend and welcome,” the message proposed.
