Iranian footballers defeat Uzbekistan 2-1

TEHRAN, May 12 (MNA) – The U-17 national football team of Iran defeated their Uzbek rivals at the second line up of China quadruple tourney in Jiangyin on Thursday.

The Iranian U-17 football players lined up against their Uzbek opponents at 13:30 Tehran Time in Chinese city of Jiangyin and won the event 2-1.

Mohammadreza Ghabishavi (35) and Mohammad Ghaderi (80) scored for the teenage Persian Cheetahs to make up for the defeat they suffered at their first line-up against Chinese hosts.

Hamid Alidousti’s squad will play with Japan at their final performance at the event.

The Jiangyin Zhouzhuang Cup CFA International Youth Football Tournament 2016 in China kicked off on Tuesday and will be concluded on Monday May 16.
