The Islamic Republic of Iran has been present in the Havana Book Fair since 2010 and this year it allocated its stand to the presentation of books with religious, philosophical, political, art and children subjects. It also put on display posters depicting the geography of the country as well as its tourist attractions.

Kambiz Sheikh Hassani, Iranian Ambassador to Havana, visited the Iranian stand and talked to a number of visitors.

According to official statistics released by the Cuban government, more than two and a half million people visited the exhibition which was held under the slogan ‘Reading is growing’ from February 11 to 21 at the historic fort of Havana.

About 70 Cuban publishers showcased over 3 million volumes of books and publications, including 916 new topics.
