We are determined to make Iran the dominant producer of radio-drugs in the region, read in a part of a message by the Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi, to a conference on ‘Evaluating Strategies for Obtaining Scientific and Research Authority’ in Tehran on Thursday.
AEOI spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi addressed the conference held at Tehran University of Medical Sciences as Salehi could not attend the venue because of ailment.
In another part of the message, Salehi hailed Iran’s progress in health area after the victory of the 1979 Islamic revolution which led to formation of a capable medical society in Iran.
There are currently 140 nuclear-medicine centers running in Iran, read Salehi’s message touching upon the specialized activities of Iran’s AEOI and the contributions made by the organization to meet the medical needs in the country.
