Syrian armed forces increase effective attacks

DAMASCUS, Feb. 03 (MNA) – Syrian Armed Forces effectively intensify air and ground attacks against terrorist groups, chiefly in the northern regions of the country, revealed the military reports on Tuesday.

In that sense, military sources highlight mutual support between Syrian and Russian airplanes in six important combat fronts, like in the northern provinces of Aleppo, Raqqa, Lattakia, Homs, Hama, and Deir Ezzor.

According to preliminary reports, more than 1350 targets, including oil refineries, and vehicles were attacked, and at least 80 militants from the terrorist ISIL and Al Nusra groups were killed.

In Aleppo, starting point for extending the offensive to strategic zones, were retaken the control of Dwer Zaitun and Tal Jbin localities, while concentrations of armed militias and their equipment were destroyed in Bayanoun and Huraytan zones.

Sources said those attacks dismantled arms and money supply routes for the terrorists, as well as the infiltration of terrorists in the international highway that links the provincial capital with the Turkish border.

Meanwhile in Hama, Homs and Idleb, in central Syria, air and ground attacks destroyed 20 technical and vehicles, leaving more than 50 dead to the armed groups.

In southern Syria, Army combats, along with the People's Defense forces, destroyed munitions and fuel depots, and killed about 50 terrorists, chiefly the so-called Al Nusra Front.
