Terrorist supporters exposed to world: Larijani

BAGHDAD, Jan. 25 (MNA) – In a new meeting with his Iraqi counterpart after the PUIC meeting on Sunday, Iran’s Majlis Speaker Larijani exchanged views with Iraq’s al-Jabouri on terrorism and Gaza Strip.

"The real nature of terrorists and their supporters has been exposed to the world," said Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday in his second meeting with Salim al-Jabouri the Speaker of the Iraqi parliament.

Offering greetings to his Iraqi counterpart over the successful running of the 11th session of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) on Sunday, Larijani described the current conditions of Iraq, in terms of politics and security, positive and better than before.

"Terrorists have suffered heavy blows in Iraq and the regional issues, today, are, to a greater extent, revealed to the world as the real supporters and feeders of terrorists are exposed," highlighted the Iranian top law maker.

Hoping for a united political will among Iraqis, he underlined national unity and solidarity as the essential need of Iraqi groups and nation at the current stage and added that foreign developments project the lowest influence over the Arab country.

"Unfortunately the issue of Palestine has fallen out of sight among Islamic countries and the current situation has let the Zionist regime to fuel up their offences against Palestinians and tighten the grip over the besieged Gaza Strip," lamented the senior Iranian official.

He dubbed it necessary to send an envoy to Gaza by the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to facilitate relief aid to the blockaded area.

The Iraqi official, for his part, thanked the Iranian government for all the helps provided for successful running of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States and described the aids constructive and comprehensive.

Fortunately, the solidarity has improved in Iraq and Iraqis have understood the importance of unity and peaceful interaction for the country, held Salim al-Jabouri.

The Iraqi senior law-maker voiced hope that the regional countries solve their political tensions and disputes as well as the situation gets better in Iraq.
