Project Director of Phase 14 at Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Morteza Zarringol, emphasized the need to increase the volume of harvest from joint South Pars gas reservoir asserting “the drilling operation of Phase 14 is 64 per cent through in line with the plan to develop the offshore section of the project.”
He stressed that “considering the high priority of accomplishing the offshore section, acceleration of the development and extraction of gas from the offshore platform has been put on the agenda of Iran’s Oil Ministry.”
“Until the end of the current Iranian calendar year (21 March 2016), 14A and 14C platforms of Phase 14 will get ready to deploy gas to refineries with a production capacity of one billion cubic feet of gas,” he underlined.
He further touched upon the pipeline construction phase of the development project; “all required facilities for the 105-kilometer pipeline of Phase 14 have been transferred to the construction site and are ready for implementation.”
The official deemed financing issues as the main obstacle ahead of the project announcing that the onshore refinery production of Phase 14 is 50 per cent through.
