Slovenian amb. submits copy of credentials to deputy FM

TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) – Slovenian new non-resident ambassador to Tehran submitted a copy of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi on Sunday.

During the meeting between Morteza Sarmadi and new Slovenian ambassador, while pointing to the longstanding relations between the two countries, the two sides discussed the ways to improve bilateral cooperation in all-out areas.

Pointing to Iran's Sixth Five-Year Development Plan, Sarmadi called it a project to attract more foreign investment and technology to the country.

"The plan provides other countries with more facilities to deepen ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran," deputy FM added.

Slovenian envoy, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his presence in Tehran hoping that the embassy will reopen following his country's foreign minister's visit to Tehran.

He said the reopening of embassy will help us make use of all the existing capacities to improve economic and trade ties between the two countries.
