Revival for Mansourian, Mazloumi; bad day for Jalali, Daie

TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (MNA) – In a day that Mazloumi, Mansourian, and Ghalenoie won, Ali Daie and Jalai were unexpectedly defeated.

The Persian Gulf League of Iran’s Professional Soccer (IPL) got into its 15th round with three fixtures of Thursday.

In the first venue of the round Ahvaz hosted the match between Esteghlal of Ahvaz and Tractorsazi of Tabriz which fruited 3 points for the visitors who garnered a 2-0 victory over the seriously troubled blues of the southwest of Iran.

The reds of Tabriz are showing symptoms of revival after the change of their manager; they drew with table-toppers of Tehran in their first match under Ghalenoie and they triumphed in their second under-new-manager event.

The first event of the day was held in Tehran where Mansourian’s team edge passed Saipa who was in the fifth place of the table.

The second win in a row of Naft who did not lose the event three rounds earlier can signal a new start for the goldens of the capital.

In the last event of the day, the blue giants of Terhran who had given up the top of the table to their Ahvazi rivals had a listless victory over Ali Daie’s Saba who had won in rounds 14th and 13th and drew in the 12th round of the tournament.

After two consecutive draws in rounds 13th and 14th, Mazloumi prevented a free fall in the mid-season even he played with a player less than the rival since 26th minute; after Barzay was shown the red card for stopping Karim Eslami who was a going to have a one-on-one opportunity against Rahmati.

Mazloumi’s players managed to defend their sole goal of the 18th minute scored by Shahbazzadeh and were rewarded 3 points which will put them atop at least till end of Friday games.
