According to Lavrov, for a long time Moscow has been aware that the Turkish territory is used to give extremists and terrorists the possibility to get treatment, rest and get ready for new military operations in Turkey and other regions like the North Caucasian region of Russia.
Russia's top diplomat added that those areas are also used for commercial transactions with the ISIL and supply weapons to this and other terrorist groups operating in Syria.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia presented recently to some 100 journalists and military attaches footage, photos and other documentary evidence that Ankara is the largest buyer of the crude oil stolen by the terrorists in Syria and Iraq.
During his interview, Lavrov reiterated that the coordination of efforts of the international coalition led by the United States in coordination with ground troops can contribute to a more rapid defeat of ISIL and other terrorist groups.
