NAM restates support for Iran’s N-program

TEHRAN, Nov. 27 (MNA) – The NAM organization issued a statement in restating support for Iran’s nuclear program on Thursday in Vienna.

The 120-nation Nonaligned Movement unanimously announced support for Iran’s wholly peaceful nuclear energy program, on Thursday, in a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors in Vienna.

Iranian Ambassador to the IAEA, Reza Najafi who is also serving as the term Chair of the Vienna Chapter of the Non-Aligned Movement read out the statement.

He reiterated that NAM urges the IAEA to follow the way UNSC acted with issuing resolution 2231 annulling all former anti-Iran resolutions and close all anti-Iran accusations.

The Iranian diplomat referred to the upcoming date for implementation of the nuclear Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and urged all the sides of the Vienna agreement of July 14 to comply with their commitments undertaken under the deal as Iran has done.

Iran has repeatedly asserted that its nuclear program is peaceful and it is already in compliance with its obligations as a signatory to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
