The 8th Annual Iranian Film Festival in San Francisco was held on September 26-27 and the Iranian documentary, competing with 34 other Iranian works, grabbed the Best Documentary Award at the event.
The 70-minute Iranian documentary tells the story of Abbas, an Iranian man who dreams of creating a tourism empire at a village in southern Iran. However, his family disregards his dream.
The work was recently awarded at the 15th International Documentary Film Festival dubbed Flahertiana in Russia and also won awards at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, Millennium International Documentary Film Festival (Belgium) as well as other international events.
