S. Arabia should ‘understand its responsibilities’

TEHRAN, Sep. 26 (MNA) – Iran’s Javad Zarif has sent to his counterparts in Islamic countries on the occasion of Mina stampede incident in Mecca.

In part of the message communicated to Mehr News, Zarif offered condolences for Islamic countries over death of the incident in Mina, expressing hope that Saudi officials would understand their grave responsibilities on holding Hajj huge pilgrimage rituals and use the consults and experiences of other Islamic countries in handling issues.

“Haplessly, this event is second incident which hurt the feelings of Islamic Ummah, threatening the security of the pilgrims of the Holy Shrine; we hope that Saudi officials will take necessary measures to prevent any similar events in the future,” reads part of the message.
