Iran to partake in S. America oil projects

TEHRAN, Sep. 08 (MNA) – Iran Power Plant Projects Management Company (MAPNA) is keen to participate in oil industry projects in South American and central Asian countries after the sanctions are lifted, the company’s director for oil and gas affairs said.

Vahid Moayer made the remarks on Tuesday adding “MAPNA has attended several international tenders in the fields of oil and gas which were unfortunately rejected due to the sanctions.”

“A number of engineering companies have so far worked in Venezuela, accordingly MAPNA can work in South America as well.” he noted.

Talking about other countries, he added “Middle East countries, particularly Iraq, can be ideal markets as well and the company can participate in the country’s downstream oil industry. Moreover Oman has great potentials in upstream and downstream sectors which can be considered following the sanctions.”

The company can have an active role in Central Asian countries as well; he said and set Turkmenistan as an example adding “The country can be a great market for Iranian companies which can cooperate in land and marine projects.”
