Ranna’s Silence to vie at Brussles Childrend filmfest.

TEHRAN, Sep. 03 (MNA) – Behzad Rafi’ee’s feature film “Ranna’s Silence” will compete in the 9th edition of Belgium’s International Children’s Film Festival Filem’ON in Brussels.

"Ranna’s Silence" directed by Iranian filmmaker Behzad Rafi’ee narrates the story of a seven-year-old girl and her hen, Kakoli. The hen lays eggs for Ranna and she draws a chicken on the shells of the eggs with colored pencils. She, along with her brother, collects the eggs so they can have the chickens like their hen Kakoli. On a rainy night, Kakoli is hunted by a jackal and the story goes on.

Rafi’ee’s first feature-length production will be screened at the festival’s competition section.

The film has been screened in various national and international festivals including the 2015 edition of Sharjah International Children's Film Festival in the UAE as well as the 22nd Düsseldorf Children’s Film Festival–KinderKinoFest (KiKiFe) in Germany where it won the festival’s top award.

Filem’ON will be held from October 1 to 7, 2015, screening 80 short and feature-length films along with animations and documentaries for children aged between 2 to 15.
