Iranian Amirkabir University of Technology is pushing for a place among the 100 best universities in the world by 2025.
The Educational Deputy of the Tehran-based university Abbas Soroush appeared in a press conference and expressed hope to meet the objective.
The official also boasted the popularity of the university as it is among the dream universities for many Iranian students.
Referring to new appointments in the directing board of the institute, Soroush highlighted the importance of qualitative and quantitative growth of educational standards for the new running body.
Among the new plans for the place is accepting foreign students along with Iranian gifted students.
One of the oldest higher-education technical and engineering institutes in Iran, Amirkabir University of Technology formerly known as Tehran Polytechnic University was founded in 1958 and over time expanded its size and quality to the point that it is currently referred to as "Iran's mother industrial university."
