Returning home from a 3 day trip to Irland, Ali Larijani Iran’s Majlis (Parliment) speaker was welcomed by Majlis Deputy Speaker Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard, Alaeddin Boroujerdi the Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Majlis, and Mohammadreza Khabbaz the legislative representative of President Hassan Rouhani, along with somne officials from Majlis, upon arrival to Mehrabad International Airport of Tehran.
Congratulating the arrival of Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Larijani recounted his meetings with ten high-ranking Irish officials including, the Chairman of Irish Senate Paddy Burke, the Parliament Speaker of Ireland Seán Barrett, Irish Prime Minister (taoiseach) Enda Kenny, the Irish Minister for Defense (An tAire Cosanta) Simon Coveney and the Irish Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation (An tAire Post, Fiontar agus Nuálaíochta) Richard Bruton.
The Iran’s Majlis speaker, noting both countries' willingness to cooperate on fields of industry, mine, energy, environment, agriculture, medical equimpent,and medicine, said the Irish authorities are eager to see the successful conclusion of the underway negotiations between Iran and 5+1 over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program.
Larijani also reassured that after a meeting with the speaker of the Irish parliament, the Irish official expressed his explicit confidence that Iran is moving on the path of peaceful nuclear technology.
During his trip, Larijani also met a number of Iranian university professors, doctors, business people and students residing in Ireland.
