Foreign coaches ready to lead Iran’s futsal team

TEHRAN, Jun. 16 (MNA) – Head of the AFC Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Abbas Torabian announced that some foreign coaches have expressed willingness to lead Iran's national futsal team.

“I am in contact with different countries; several high-level coaches have made requests to lead Iranian team,” Abbas Torabian told Mehr News.

Coaching Iran’s national team is wished for by many coaches around the world, Torabian said, adding that they even request less money to sit on Iran's bench.

However, he stressed, we still evaluate whether the Football Federation is ready to accept foreign coaches.

Iranian national futsal team was led by Spanish Jesus Candelas Rodrigo since 2013. He left the team after Iranian Football Federation unfulfilled promises and delayed payments.

Vahid Shamsaei is now considered as the main option for leading Iranian national team.
