Social Learning Theory to vie at FMCEX

TEHRAN, Jun. 10 (MNA) – Pouria Heidary’s ‘Social Learning Theory’ will participate at Mexico’s FMCEX (World Extreme Film Festival Saint Sebastian of Veracruz) film festival in June.

Social Learning Theory, now enjoying its 8th international screening, will compete as Iran’s only representative at the section of fiction films of World Extreme Film Festival Saint Sebastian of Veracruz in Mexico.

Other participating countries are Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Colombia, Lebanon, Brazil, Cuba, China, Belgium, Mexico, Poland, Argentina, India, Finland, Bolivia, Portugal, South Korea, Paraguay and the United States.

Social Learning Theory is a short film about the impacts of public executions on young children whom are taken there to watch. The film took its inspiration from a true story in which 3 children lost their lives when trying to recreate what they had seen during public executions in their childish game.

Previously, Heidary’s short film had been screened in Kansas City Film Festival in April, 2014 and nominated for the Best Short Film award. It was also screened at the International Children's Film Festival Bangladesh and the 2015 Lanzarote Film Festival in Spain.

World Extreme Film Festival Saint Sebastian of Veracruz will be held on 22-27 June, 2015 in Mexico.
