A short film produced by Urmia office of IYCS, Aghi tells the story of an old man who has been waiting for the return of his missing son for 25 years.
The film has already been screened at the 18th Zanzibar Film Festival in Tanzania, Salisbury University's Student Film Festival in US, Cannes Short Film Corner competition and Cinema Povero Intl. Filmfest in Italy.
In its new presence, the film will be screened at Silk Screen Film Festival in USA which is set to be held from July 10-19.
The Silk Screen Film Festival, one of the largest Asian-centric festivals in the US, organizes diverse events to increase awareness of Asian arts in the Pittsburgh region.
The festival aims at educating communities about Asian and Asian American history, culture, experiences and issues, fostering understanding across lines of race, ethnicity, religion, age and region, and sustaining growth and encouraging excellence in Asian American culture.
