Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, stressing that the implementation of agreements already signed will further boost relations between Iran and Turkmenistan, voiced Tehran’s readiness to speed up execution of the agreements and further expansion of relations with Ashgabat.
In a meeting with Turkmenistan Deputy Prime minister for Oil and Gas Baymyrat Hojamuhammedov here on Monday, President Rouhani pointed to four rounds of constructive talks with his Turkmen counterpart and said the implementation of agreements in building roads, export of goods and services and exchange of energy would speed up regional development and promote cooperation.
The Turkmen official Hojamuhammedov, while submitting the message of Turkmenistan's president to Rouhani during the meeting, pointed to 19 documents signed between the two countries on mutual cooperation, saying that Ashgabat was seeking greater cooperation with Iran due to the existing good neighborly relations.
He also said he had constructive talks with ministers of oil, and road and civil construction as well as the Central Bank governors on the ways of implementing the agreements.
