Iran ranks 3rd in Russia's intl. futsal event

The Iranian national women futsal team defeated Russia 2 on Saturday 6-5 and ranked third in the International Futsal Tournament National Teams.

In its earlier matches, Iran’s national team had lost to Russia and Spain 3-2 and 5-0 respectively, in the matches held at the Aquarium Hotel in Krasnogorsk.

The tournament got underway in Krasnogorsk, Russia from May 6 to 9.

Iran is preparing to participate in the first edition of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship.
