Tuesday's draw for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was held in Portuguese beach resort of Espinho, with Iranian national team grouped with Brazil, Mexico and Spain in Group C.
Iran's 1st game will be against Spain on July 10. This is Iran's 6th appearance in the World Cup out of a total of 8 competitions.
The Iranian beach soccer team managed to reach the quarterfinal match for the first time in its history and lost the chance for the semifinal due to a single goal.
The groups of the Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 are as follows:
Group A: Portugal, Japan, Argentina and Senegal
Group B: Switzerland, Oman, Italy and Costa Rica
Group C: Brazil, Mexico, Spain and Iran
Group D: Russia, Tahiti, Paraguay and Madagascar
