Iran condoles with Ukraine on recent deadly mine blast

TEHRAN, Mar. 08 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman extended her condolence to the government and the families of the victims of mine blast in Ukraine.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Saturday expressed condolence to Ukraine government on Zasyadko coal mine explosion and sympathized with the bereaved families of the victims.

A suspected methane gas explosion rocked a mine in a separatist-held region of eastern Ukraine early Wednesday, killing at least 33 miners and leaving nearly 47 others still missing, officials told Wall Street Journal.

The blast hit the Zasyadko mine in the Donetsk region at 5:57 a.m. local time.
