Iran slams enlisting of Hamas as terrorist group

TEHRAN, Mar. 01 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM called Tel Aviv an illegitimate regime which is powerless in the face of resistance.

Iranian Deputy FM for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, while asserting that Hamas is not a terrorist organization, highlighted Tel Aviv as an illegitimate and terrorist regime which is powerless in the face of resistance, including Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms anywhere, including Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Africa and Europe.

Deputy FM said Muslim Brotherhood is a reality in Egypt and the world should take a realistic look to distinguish between political opposition groups and terrorists.

He went on saying that any party, who keeps and insists on commiting terrorist acts, would be hated and despised by the world.

According to a verdict issued by an Egyptian court on Saturday, the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas was labeled a ‘terrorist’ organization, a move that could further sour the relations between the Egyptian government and the Palestinian group.

In response to the move, Palestinian Hamas resistance group released a statement describing the court’s decision as ‘shocking and dangerous.’
