Iran’s Deputy Minister of Cooperative Labor and Social Welfare Kourosh Parand announced the possibility of cooperation with Tanzania in vocational and technical fields, saying that Iran’s main strategy in this sector is developing the diplomacy of skills.
In a meeting with Tanzania’s Minister of Education, Kourosh Parand pointed to the strategic and technological document prepared by Iran’s Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO) and expressed Iran’s readiness to assist its friend countries, including Tanzania.
Among proposals for the development of cooperation between the two countries, Parand pointed to assessment of demands in education using the latest methods, holding teacher training courses for Tanzania’s applicants in Iran’s teacher training and research centers of TVTO, sending trainers to Tanzania, preparing standards of training and instructional materials, equipping and updating workshops and training centers in Tanzania, providing vocational training, housing and rural education and using the latest models of vocational training and employment in small, medium and domestic works.
Tanzania's Minister of Education, for his part, pointed out Iran’s needs to develop technical and vocational education and youth unemployment, especially the dropouts. He requested technical training and professional development in Tanzania especially in the area of teacher training.
