Iranian innovator wins gold in ARCA 2014 Zagreb

TABRIZ, Oct. 26 (MNA) – Innovator from Tabriz has won the gold medal in WIPO’s ARCA 2014 in Zagreb, Croatia.

Innovation by Farhad Sheidaei, researcher and University of Tabriz lecturer, ‘smart energy saving mobile wire in home appliances connected to PC and TV,’ has been awarded gold medal in ARCA 2014.

Sheidaei is also winner of several prizes and titles; he was listed as one of ten prominent researchers of the country in 2011, and as one of best five innovative designs among University of Applied Science and Technology UAST branches. Sheidaei has several medals in international hi-tech competitions in Switzerland, Russia, Poland and Malaysia in his repertoire of his honors received.

The innovation participated in ARCA 2014 in Zagreb as a scientific team supported by Tabriz Municipality, and other members of the team were not also without medals; they won silver, a bronze, and Croatia’s Special prize, to catapult Municipality team to the top position in the roost.

ARCA 2014 is sponsored by Croatian Science and Economics, and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and other organizations and innovators from 17 countries participated.
