Poland wins Iran in 2014 volleyball World League

TEHRAN, July 6 (MNA) – Host Poland volleyball squad has won Iran in FIVB World League 2014 in three straight sets.

It was the last match for Iran in 2014 Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) World League. The Iranian squad lost the first match of the second leg this time to its host Poland 3-1.

Iran national men volleyball team has held ten matches against world champions Brazil, 2-3, 3-0, 3-2 and 2-0; and Italy 0-3, 0-3, 3-0, 3-0. Two matches between Iran and Poland ended with Iran winning both against its rival 3-0 and 3-1.

The volley-ballers have already secured their place in the next round by a three-set winning match against Poland to see themselves among the world giants for the first time.

Iran stands in the second place in Pool A after Italy both with 19 points; it is followed by Poland and Brazil with 17 and 14 points.
