The program is in favor of regional interests and economic development of the three countries, Zarif stated.
The agreement was made during the third trilateral meeting between Zarif and his Turkish and Azeri counterparts Ahmet Davutoglu and Elmar Mammadyarov in Van on Friday.
Zarif stated that during the meeting they exchanged views to cooperate in areas such as energy, transportation, science and technology. He added that these programs will be followed up within the next three years.
Mammadyarov also said the three neighboring countries will make effort to expand their relations.
The Azeri foreign minister also said regional peace and stability contribute to economic development.
Davutoglu also said that the three countries are sending the message of “peace and brotherhood”. He also said that the main purpose of the meeting was to strengthen regional cooperation and help maintain stability in the region.
In response to a question about the developments in Ukraine, Davutoglu said that Turkey stresses the need to maintain the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
He called the Crimean peninsula a part of Ukraine’s territory.
Zarif also said that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will make a trip to Turkey within the next two months.
Zarif went on to say that the fourth trilateral meeting will be held in Iran.
The first trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan was held in the northwestern Iranian city of Urmia in April 2011.
The second meeting was held in the Azeri city of Nakhichevan in March 2012.

TEHRAN, March 15 (MNA) – The Iranian, Turkish and Azerbaijani foreign ministers agreed on a three-year cooperation program in different areas, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a news conference in the Turkish city of Van on Friday.
