Standardizing Goods and Services to Compete With Foreign Products

TEHRAN, July 18 (Mehr News Agency) -- Supporting import tariffs in the short run in addition to standardizing goods and services and appropriate marketing in the long run, are proper ways to compete with foreign products, an economic expert Hossein Baher said here Friday.

High quality products, lower prices, quick availability of goods and services, and proper marketing would boost demand for domestic products, said Baher. He added that transparent policies, employment of expert management in all branches, and the public’s supervision of economic reforms and services would in the long term lead to the desired consumption pattern.
