In this ceremony, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance read the message of President Khatami in commemoration of Parvin.
Also in this ceremony, President Khatami's advisor in Women's Affairs Zahra Shoja’i said Parvin was impressed by her cultured and literary figure father.
She said Parvin's father did not permit Parvin to publish her collection of poems before her failed marriage and due to the prevailing socio-cultural problems. However, after her remarriage in 1935, her poems were published with an introduction of Bahar.
Shoja’i pointed out that her works reflect a criticism of the then government and a defense of social injustice and judicial system, the oppressed and desperate workers.
She said one of the features which distinguish her from her contemporary poets is her objection to feudalists and Khans and deep attention toward the status and dignity of motherhood and her concern for the education of women.
At the end of the ceremony, plaques of honor were presented to Qamar Aryan in literature, Mansureh Sharifzadeh in drama, Chista Yasrebi in poetry, Fereshteh Sari and Narjes Afshari in research.
In children and young adults, ladies Fariba Kalhor, Furuzandeh Khodaju, Susan Taqdis, Afsaneh Sha'banzadeh and Erfan Hakimeh Ellahi were awarded.
