Austria Researching Multipurpose Cinemas in Iran

TEHRAN, Feb. 18 (Mehr News Agency) -- The administrative processes of investing in the Hashtgerd Cinema Complex and the building of multipurpose cinemas in the provinces of Iran have been analyzed and discussed in a recent meeting between Austrian and Iranian officials.

The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Public Relations Department has reported that the head of the Iran-Austria Chamber of Commerce and the head of Mozer Co., one of the largest entertainment and cultural complex building companies in the world, accompanied the representative of the Austria National Council, Leopold Madrthaner in this visit.

The Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Cinematic Affairs Mohammad-Mahdi Heydarian and several Iranian cinema officials discussed and analyzed the problems and solutions of investment and the building processes of the Hashtgerd Cinema Complex and other multipurpose cinemas in Iran with the Austrian officials in this meeting.

Austria was the first country to announce its cooperation with Iran to build the largest cinema complex in the Middle East in Hashtgerd said Heydarian.

“Because of the long-term programs that have been considered for establishing technical, artistic, service and tourism facilities in the Hashtgerd Cinema Complex many delicate complications must be considered by the Austrian construction group, which requires more detailed administrative plans,” he added.

“Several European and Asian countries have proposed to take part in building and investing in the Hashtgerd Cinema Complex; therefore the Austrian planners of the complex must put forth more various plans,” Heydarian said.

At this meeting, Leopold Madrthaner announced that the government of his country is willing to cooperate with the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran on all cultural activities. The Austrians described their plans on building multipurpose cinema complexes in Iran and the two sides discussed the administrative and investment process of the construction of the complexes.

The two sides decided to hold a number of meetings in the near future to analyze the plans in detail.
