Iran defeated Turkmenistan 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 29-27) in Group C of the tournament.
“We had difficulty against Turkmenistan due to the coldness of the hall. We notified the organizers about this because our players cannot do their best in such circumstances. Iran is going to stand on the podium,” Iran coach Hossein Madani said.
Iran had earlier defeated Mongolia 3-0 in the tournament.
The team is scheduled to play Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
The volleyball matches at the 2010 Asian Games will be held until November 27.
In this tournament, 18 teams play in the men's competition, and 11 teams participate in the women's competition.
