The play is a free adaptation of the play “Faust”, and is a form of a play in which the viewers also take part.
Each performance, which takes fifteen minutes, is carried out with one viewer.
Faust or Faustus (Latin for “auspicious” or “lucky”) is the protagonist of a classic German legend who makes a pact with the Devil in exchange for knowledge. Faust’s tale is the basis for many literary, artistic, cinematic, and musical works.
The play was staged at the 10th Experimental Theater Festival in June and won the best director award. It also received the second best actor and the third best actress award.
Foad Esfahani, Bahram Behbahani, Behruz Khorram, Bahareh Fattahi and Sonia Sanjari are among the actors and the cast also includes stage designer Marzieh Omidifar, costume designers Bahram Behbahani and Tahmineh Mazlumnejad, and mask designers Soheila Bajelan and Mehrnush Shariati.
The play will be on stage for 10 days at the forum located on Musavi St., off of Taleqani Ave.
