The book will include several of Shamlu’s poems from his various collections, Saeidpur told ISNA on Thursday.
Saeidpur said he is currently editing the anthology.
In the preface of the book, Saeidpur analyzes Shamlu’s idiosyncratic language, which is a combination of archaic and colloquial language, and also recounts the poet’s other activities, including his translations.
Iran’s Morvarid Publications will also be publishing the Saeidpur translation in a bilingual book.
Saeidpur has also translated poems by Silvia Plath, Octavio Paz, and D.H. Lawrence into Persian.
