Iran to respond to any continued aggression decisively

President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif exchanged views on the latest developments, especially Pakistan’s efforts to stop the war, in a telephone conversation on Wednesday afternoon.
In the conversation, the President appreciated the constructive efforts of the Pakistani government, especially the Prime Minister and the Commander-in-Chief of the country’s army, to stop the war, and emphasized, Iran’s action in accepting Pakistan’s proposal for a ceasefire, despite the numerous records of America’s violation of commitments and violation of international law, demonstrates Iran’s responsible and commanding approach, and countries in the region and the world should seize this opportunity to put pressure on the aggressors in order to avoid repeating strategic mistakes.
Pezeshkian emphasized that this approach is conditioned on the warring parties’ real commitment to the principles of negotiation and abidance by their commitments.
Condemning several ceasefire violations, including the attack on the Lavan and Siri islands on Wednesday morning, the President stated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran will respond decisively to any aggression.”
Pezeshkian recalled that, “Insecurity in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf is a direct consequence of the military aggression waged by the US and the Zionist regime, adding that ensuring the security of this vital waterway depends on the complete cessation of those aggressions.
The President further highlighted that Iran has presented the outlines of its 10-point proposl as a framework to stop the war, one of the core conditions of which is the establishment of a ceasefire in Lebanon.
Sharif, for his part, reexpressed the deep regret the part of the Pakistani government and nation over the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, senior commanders, and a large number of Iranian people, and thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for accepting Pakistan's mediation offer to reach a ceasefire agreement.
The Pakistani Prime Minister further emphasized the need for all parties to comply with the ceasefire and stated, “The Zionist regime's attacks on Lebanon as part of the understanding must be stopped immediately.”
The premier also emphasized Islamabad's readiness to engage with all regional countries to advance peace, stability, and security in the Persian Gulf and the region.
