IRGC launches 98th wave of Operation True Promise 4

TEHRAN, Apr. 06 (MNA) – Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its naval and aerospace forces launched the 98th wave of Operation True Promise 4, targeting U.S. and Israeli command, logistics, and military-industrial infrastructure.

The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said naval and aerospace units launched the 98th wave of Operation True Promise 4 under the code name “Ya Sayyed al-Sajedin,” dedicating the operation to Major General Majid Khademi.

According to the statement, in the first phase of the operation, IRGC naval forces targeted the container ship SDN7, described as belonging to Israel, with a cruise missile, causing what the statement called extensive fire damage after impact.

The statement added that ballistic missiles struck northern and southern areas of Tel Aviv, strategic centers in Haifa, chemical companies and factories in Beersheba, and a military presence in Petah Tikva.

It further said the U.S. amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7), carrying more than 5,000 sailors and marines, came under attack and was forced to retreat deeper into the southern Indian Ocean.

In another phase of the operation, the IRGC said a joint drone production center involving the United Arab Emirates and Israel, along with several aircraft stationed at Ali Al Salem Air Base, was hit by missiles and drones.

The statement added that offensive operations by Iranian armed units and regional resistance groups against what it described as enemy terrorist targets are continuing, and that maritime movement in Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf remains under surveillance by IRGC naval systems.
