Putin congratulates election of Ayatollah Khamenei as Leader

In a message congratulating Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the new Leader would continue his predecessor's path. 

The Russian president further reaffirmed Moscow's unwavering support for Tehran, emphasizing Moscow's solidarity with its Iranian friends.

The Assembly of Experts of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the third Leader of the Islamic Revolution early on Monday.
