The accident took place at around 2 p.m. local time on Tuesday in Ywangan township of Shan State.
The cause of the accident was that the vehicle lost control and overturned, the official said. As a result, two men and four women died on the spot, and only one child survived with minor injuries. In addition, the entire car was damaged in the accident, he added.
The victims were rushed by rescue organizations to the Kyaukse General Hospital.
