The trade exchanges between Iran and EU member states from January to October 2023 hit €3.761 billion, showing a 13-percent decline compared to the previous year’s corresponding period.
According to the statistics, Iran and the EU member states exchanged €4.367 billion worth of products from January to October 2022.
Among the member states of the European Union, Germany had the maximum share of trade with Iran, accounting for 31% of Iran’s total trade volume exchanged with Europe.
Germany imported over €191 million worth of non-oil products from Iran and exported €977 million worth of products to the Islamic Republic between January and October 2023.
EU export of products to Iran from January to October 2023 registered a 10-percent decline compared to the corresponding period in 2022.
The 27 member states imported €647 million worth of products from Iran between January and October 2023, indicating a 27% slump compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, the EU states exported €306 million worth of products to Iran in October 2023, showing a 3% growth compared to the same month a year earlier.
