Saudi crown prince calls for immediate cessation of Gaza war

TEHRAN, Nov. 11 (MNA) – Addressing the leaders from the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Mohammed bin Salman called for an immediate cessation of military operations in Gaza and the release of all captives and prisoners.

“We are certain the only cause for peace is the end of the Israeli occupation and illegal settlements, and restoration of the established rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of the state on 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital,” the Saudi crown prince said.

“This is a humanitarian catastrophe that has proved the failure of the international community and the UN Security Council to put an end to Israel’s gross violations of international humanitarian laws, and prove the dual standards adopted by the world,” he added.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized his country's opposition to the all-out war of the Zionist regime army against the residents of Gaza.

He also emphasized the need to create humanitarian crossings to send humanitarian aid and save the lives of civilians.

Bin Salman also spoke about the failure of the Security Council and the international community to end the war against Gaza and pointed to the attack on civilians, women, children, hospitals, and the infrastructure of this area.

Here is a recap of what has been said so far:

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said the “policies of collective punishment” in Gaza were unacceptable and “cannot be justified by self-defense or any other claims”.

Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan said an international peace conference should be convened for a permanent solution between the Israelis and Palestinians.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called on the US to pressure Israel into stopping its attacks on Gaza. He said the Palestinians were facing an “unmatched genocidal war”.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman called for the immediate end of military operations and the release of captives.
