Speaking to reporters in a press conference, Zawawi said that Israel exploits the Holocaust to blackmail Germany.
“We do not oppose any race in the world, we oppose the massacre of innocent people who are being wiped out by an occupying regime,” he added.
At this juncture, Palestine is in the hands of the Zionists and there is no security in the country, he noted.
Iranian students held demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people in Tehran on Tuesday.
“The Palestinian nation urges all the nations especially in the Islamic and Arab world to resist the pressure by the West and Israel and support Palestine in international fora,” he stated.
The ambassador also called upon all the media to cover the events in his country efficiently and to show the world the crimes that are being committed in the occupied territories.
Zawawi called upon Islamic states, particularly Arab League members, and European countries to aid the Palestinian nation.
Israel and the world should realize that tension and crisis will prevail in the region unless an independent Palestinian state is established and occupiers withdraw from the occupied lands, he warned.
Commenting on the recent brutal Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, he said that unity between different Palestinian political factions is the main motive behind the Zionist raids on the Gaza Strip.
