Iran, Mexico to expand bilateral cooperation

TEHRAN, Apr. 3 (MNA) — Iran and Mexico plan to expand mutual cooperation in educational, technical and vocational (T&V), and occupational affairs according to an agreement recently signed by officials of the two states, IRNA reported.

The agreement signed by the Iranian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ali Kordan and the Mexican minister of education Reyes Tamez during a visit paid by the Iranian official to Mexico. 

 

Kordan voiced Iran’s readiness to exchange expertise in the technical and vocational issues and granting educational scholarships in the fields to the students from the two countries.

 

He also declared Iran’s readiness to help develop cooperation between the vocational training centers of the two countries with the aim of improving management and creativity of their trainees.

 

On his part, Reyes Tamez said, “We like the Iranian nation and are ready to develop our cooperation with the Islamic Republic in all grounds in particular in the scientific and cultural areas.”

 

He also noted that the loans granted by the World Bank for the development of Mexico’s technical and vocational training sectors have greatly helped the enhancement of the institutes’ quality. He further commented, the trend has resulted in the creation of more job opportunities especially for the poor communities in the nation.
