Leader’s representatives visit quake-hit areas

TEHRAN, Nov. 14 (MNA) – A board representing the Leader of the Islamic Revolution entered locations hardest struck by the earthquake in Kermanshah province.

Sheikh Abdolhossein Moezzi, Leader's representative in Red Crescent and Ayatollah Mahmoud Mohammadi Araghi, Leader's representative of the Assembly of Experts in Kermanshah province, are among bodies who visited the sites.

They are slated to witness, firsthand, the quality of aid and rescue operations as well as the degree of damage caused by the 7.3 magnitude earthquake. 

By the end of their mission, the representatives of Ayatollah Khamenei will report on the sites they visited, the problems and issues of the people as shared with them.

The 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Sunday night about 64 miles (103km) southeast of the city of Sulaymaniyah, near the Iraq-Iran border, leaving at least 530 people dead and more than 2700 others injured.
