‘Only way out of violence is to abandon instrumental use of terrorism’

TEHRAN, Jul. 24 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi, while condemning the terrorist blast in Lahore city of Pakistan, said the only way to get out of violence is to abandon instrumental use of terrorism.

Ghasemi condemned the terrorist attack in Pakistan and condoled with Pakistani government, nation and the bereaved families of the victims.

He described resorting to violence and terrorism a 'decadent ideology' that has nothing but the language of unbridled violence and force.

FM spokesman noted that the only way out of the wave of violence and terrorism in the region and the world is to deal honestly with this phenomenon, and abandoning the instrumental use of terrorism and trading the phenomenon for political purposes, within the framework of double standards.

At least 26 people have died and 54 others were injured in a bomb blast targeting police in Pakistan on Monday. The incident took place in Lahore, at a vegetable market at the entrance of the Arfa Software Technology Park, a city landmark. The Pakistan Taliban, also called Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, claimed responsibility for the bombing, calling it a suicide attack.
