Iran’s military delegation arrives in Pakistan

TEHRAN, May 21 (MNA) – In line with defensive-military cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad, a senior military delegation from Supreme National Defense University arrived in the Pakistani capital on Sunday morning.

The seven-strong Iranian delegation is led by Rear Admiral Faribirz Ghaderpanah and has Second Brigadier General Hassan Salimi as its member.

The military delegation will be hosted by Pakistan’s National Defense University in Islamabad until May 24 and is slated to meet with authorities of the Pakistani university in a bid to strengthen academic collaboration between the two countries more than before by exchanging students and professors.

The National Defence University (NDU) of Pakistan belongs to the neighboring country’s military and is among international universities which host numerous students from different Asian, European, African and Americans countries.

In Iran’s 1404 (2025) Vision, Supreme National Defense University also enjoys a leadership position among universities inside the region which, by relying in Islamic values, is responsible for training the elite, military commanders, police and senior managers of civilian agencies of the country as well as of friendly and Muslim countries active in different strategic areas.

Military and defense cooperation between Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pursued on a regular basis by various measures including exchange of flotilla and joint exercises between the two neighboring states.
