Physics student Shohreh Khatami, who is one of the executors of the project, stated that non-thermal plasma systems have a variety of potential capabilities in various branches of science and industry, including agriculture.
"The use of cold plasma in the agricultural industry can enhance the germination rate, elongate stems and roots and ultimately increase the amount of final product," she added.
The free radicals produced during the manufacturing process of plasma, stimulate growth hormones with no kind of mutation, Khatami said adding the stimulation enhances germination rate leading to increasing in plant growth and ultimately the end product.
